Global Stem Cells Group Faculty members will represent the biotech company at the Spanish Society of Cosmetic Medicine and Surgery (SEMCC) Mediterannean Conference XXIV of Therapeutic Confrontations in Medicine and Cosmetic Surgery in Sitges, Barcelona, Spain, May 6-8 2016.
2016 will mark the third consecutive year Global Stem Cells Group will collaborate with SEMCC President Victor Garcia Gimenez on the conference, designed to advance the aesthetic applications of stem cells. The conference will be followed by an extensive six-hour, hands-on stem cell training class presented by GSCG subsidiary Stem Cell Training, Inc. to provide participating physicians with state-of-the-art techniques for isolating and re-integrating adipose-derived stem cells, along with clinical protocols.
Increasing interest in regenerative medicine among the medical community, along with recent advances in stem cell therapies have motivated Global Stem Cells Group and SEMCC to create programs like this one, designed to promote the most recent studies and supporting investigative protocols for clinical applications. Relevant members of the featured faculties will dictate theory portions of the symposium.
Joining the Global Stem Cells Group Faculty will be: Prof. Angel Raya, M.D., Professor at the Catalan Institute for Research and Advanced Studies (ICREA), Researcher, Home Group Power Control Stem Cell Institute, Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), and Director of the Center for Regenerative Medicine in Barcelona (CMRB); and Prof. Anna Veiga, Biological Sciences Professor at the Pompeu Fabra University and Director of the Stem Cell Bank Center of Regenerative Medicine in Barcelona (CMRB).
